Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival (Sep)
This 11 day festival starts on the Thursday before the first Saturday in September. It is Victoria's first festival of Spring.
In addition to Kyneton's famous Golden Mile of Daffodils half of the town's gardens feature a wide variety of beautiful daffodils.
But the Festival is much more than a magnificent daffodil display - it encompasses a breathtaking variety of activities.
These activities include: Ferret Racing, the Festival of One Act Plays, flower shows and open gardens, the Kyneton Dog Dash, Art, Photography and Craft displays, food and wine tastings, music performances and the Grande Parade and Family Street Fair.
The Festival will be held between Thursday Sep 5th and Sunday Sep 15 in 2024.

Kyneton Agricultural Show (November)
In recent years the Kyneton Show has grown to become one of country Victoria's foremost agricultural shows.
Held at the Kyneton Showgrounds, the Show opens with Carnival Night on the Friday evening starting at 5.00 pm featuring music, thrill rides, fireworks etc.
Saturday is Family Day with horse and dog events, thrill rides, craft pavilion, many free activities for the kids and a myriad of other attractions.
Nov 15 & 16 are the dates for the 2024 Show.

Macedon Ranges Wine & Food Budburst Festival (November)
The annual Macedon Ranges Wine and Food Budburst Festival is a Macedon Ranges wide Festival encompassing renowned wineries, dinners at the great eating places and cellar door tastings.
The cellar doors of some of Victoria's foremost wineries are open on both the Saturday and the Sunday of the Festival.
The 2024 Festival will likely take place from Nov 15th to 17th.

Major Race Meetings (January & November)
The Kyneton and Hanging Rock Racing Club hosts three major meetings each year. In January thousands of visitors flock to the picnic race meetings at iconic Hanging Rock on New Year's Day and the Australia Day Holiday.
The third major meeting is the Kyneton Cup meeting held at the picturesque riverside Kyneton Racecourse on the Wednesday after the Melbourne Cup (Nov 6 in 2024).
Kyneton Cup Day is a local public holiday and the meeting attracts large numbers of patrons from throughout the district as well as Spring racing enthusiasts from Melbourne and further afield.
The Club conducts thirteen race meetings each year.
The Monthly Kyneton Markets
On the second Saturday of every month vast numbers of locals and visitors gather in Piper and Ebden Streets for the monthly Kyneton markets.
The Kyneton Farmers Market, held in St Paul's Park, is an accredited Farmers Market and offers a huge range of authentic fresh produce. The Kyneton Makers Market is held in association with the Farmers Market.
The Kyneton Community Market is also held on the second Saturday in the grounds of the Uniting Church on the corner of Ebden Street and Yaldwyn St West. The Community Market, conducted by the Kyneton Rotary Club sells everything from bric a brac to art, food, clothes, plants, chocolates and fine local produce.
The markets at both locations start at 8.00am and conclude at 1pm.
International Women's Day Dinner (March)
Held in the Kyneton Town Hall in the week of International Women's Day, and hosted by the Kyneton Zonta Club, the Kyneton International Women's Day Dinner attracts more than two hundred women from across the region and always features fine food and prominent and thought provoking speakers.
Live Performances and Theatre (throughout the year)
Throughout the year the Macedon Ranges Shire Council, with the support of the Victorian Government offers high quality visiting music, comedy, dance, children's and drama performances at affordable prices in the Kyneton Town Hall.
